I shoot with my old faithful, the Canon EF 24-105mm lens. It has very good reach and makes a great general purpose lens. In addition, it is slightly lighter. It's perfect for traveling around air shows all day long.

Getting out of the picture of tunnel vision can help you see with fresh eyes, revealing images you may have missed before. This can also lead to more photo opportunities being seen.
